Founded by Yash Chopra in 1970, Yash Raj Films (YRF) is one of the most prominent production and distribution companies in the country. Currently, led by Aditya Chopra, YRF has taken a route inspired by Hollywood’s Marvel Cinematic Universe and introduced its own spy universe. It all began in 2012 with Ek Tha Tiger, an action-packed spy thriller starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. The leading duo reunited in 2017 for a sequel, Tiger Zinda Hai, which also turned out to be a huge hit at the box office. The success of the franchise resulted in the expansion of the universe with the introduction of Hrithik Roshan’s War (2019) and Pathaan (2023) starring Shah Rukh Khan.
