Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh walked down the aisle on November 14-15, 2018, in Lake Como, Italy. After dating each other for a while, DeepVeer finally decided on forever and became mister and missus in a grand destination wedding. They had two weddings, one as per Konkani rituals and the other according to Punjabi-Sindhi traditions.
In an interaction with Rajdeep Sardesai on India Today India Tomorrow, Deepika before her marriage had expressed her excitement about the wedding and was quoted as saying, ‘I’m excited in the same way as I’m excited about signing my next film. Marriage is something that I’ve always looked forward to in my life, as would any other girl.’ (You may Also Like: Shoaib Malik Is Missing His Baby Boy, Izhaan, Shares Adorable Pictures Of Him Giggling With His Dad).
Recently, in an interview with Jitesh Pillai on Famously Filmfare, Ranveer had revealed that Deepika is a strict wife, who has banned him from doing three things. Sharing the things, he is not supposed to do, Ranveer said, “Staying out of the house till too late, leave the house without eating and miss her calls.”
Now, Deepika had revealed the real reason why she wants Ranveer to be home on time. The Padmaavat actress told the leading website, “I have learnt a lot from her. I don’t think there is a single thing I can do without her voice in my head. Simple things like when I buy something, I remember that she has always told me, ‘find out how much it is for.’”
Further talking about Ranveer, Deepika told Firstpost, “We were all her priority. She allowed us to pursue our passion and, at the same time, disciplined all of us. Today if Ranveer says ‘my wife expects us to be home at a certain time, go to bed at a certain time’— all those things come from her.”
In an interview with Open Magazine, Deepika had revealed, “When we started dating six years ago, I was more successful than him, busier than him, making more money. I’ve never come across a man who is so comfortable with my success and the attention I was getting. He was supportive and encouraging of my career and it wasn’t superficial support. That doesn’t happen with many men. He really cared, and I don’t think our relationship would have lasted if not for how he inherently felt about my world and how much he respected it. I did not have to make compromises to keep my man happy and that was the best thing about him.”
Earlier, in a media interaction, Deepika had shared, “Over a period of time because it’s the small things that he did and the little things that he said which made me believe and feel more and more that he’s the person I want to spend the rest of my life with. The foundation of our relationship is just solid friendship and for any successful relationship, that’s very essential. It started off on that note right from the beginning and over the years that we have dated, it only became stronger and stronger. Over a period of time, I don’t think there was that one definite moment.”
She had further added, “Although my friends feel. Soon after we started dating, I remember he had dengue and he was unwell, and I was shooting for Finding Fanny at that time. I would keep travelling back and forth. His family and my friends, sort of felt at that point, this was headed towards being together for life. But I don’t think I have that one definite moment. Over a period of time, it just felt like the right thing.”
Deepika disclosed the reason behind not opening about her relationship earlier and had said, “I think not being too public about the relationship in the initial years was a conscious effort on both our parts. When there are so much media glare and scrutiny on a relationship, it becomes challenging sometimes and there was so much going on in our lives at that point, we didn’t need an added thing.”
Here’s wishing Deepika and Ranveer a happy married life!
