In a Bollywood Hungama interview, Siddharth Anand explained why Deepika Padukone was absent from Fighter’s promotional events and the subsequent social media discussions. Anand revealed it’s a strategic approach to create anticipation, mentioning Deepika’s active participation starting tomorrow. He acknowledged the speculation around her absence, clarifying that Deepika was meant to attend the trailer launch but fell ill. Anand emphasized Deepika’s vital role in the film’s promotion, stating, ‘Certainly, we can’t do without Deepika.’
