Television actress Nupur Alankar has expressed her gratitude towards Akshay Kumar, Renuka Shahane and a few other people for extending her financial help for her mother’s medical treatment.

Days after Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar extended financial support towards television actress Nupur Alankar and actress Renuka Shahane thanking him in a whole-hearted Twitter thread, Nupur has expressed her gratitude towards him.
The actress, whose story was shared by Renuka on social media, said that help poured in from many friends, but the medical expenses for her mother’s treatment, too, kept rising and that’s why she decided to go online for help. The actress shared that she had no shame in asking for money because it was for her mother’s medical treatment.
‘I was apprehensive initially, but my friend, actress Rajeshwari Sachdev, convinced me to do it for the sake of my mother. I have no shame in asking people for money, it’s for my mother’s treatment. I am especially grateful to Akshay Kumar, Renuka Shahane, Ayub Khan, Hetal Parmar, Darshan Zariwala, Manoj Joshi and CINTAA for helping me,’ Nupur told ETimes.
The actress’ mother is suffering from multiple health complications including interstitial lung disease, rheumatoid arthritis, pulmonary hypertension, and diabetes. It was after the collapse of Punjab & Maharashtra Co-Operative bank that the actress landed in financial trouble and had to sell her jewellery to make ends meet.
Further, her mother first had a heart attack in 2018 and then three more after the collapse of the bank. To earn more money and make sure that the family remains financially stable, the actress started to practice alternative therapies. Nupur, however, had to put a stop to the same amid the pandemic and by then, all their savings were exhausted.
A few days ago, Renuka, who is an ardent social media user, thanked Akshay in a series of tweets. Describing Akshay, Renuka had written, ‘This angel has already helped so many actors, workers from the film industry without any expectation of even a thank you in return.’
