Asihwarya is though not the first Bollywood celebrity to fall victim of such news. Her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan has in the past been declared dead in a similar manner. News of Dev Anand, Shashi Kapoor and Kadar Khan’s death have also created a flurry on social media.
In Hollywood also, several actors have been victim of such hoax including the recent Rowan Atkinson’s death hoax news that created ripples on social media.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s death hoax: False reports claim suicide attempt
Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is the latest celebrity to fall victim to the death hoax which were doing the rounds in social media platforms and WhatsApp messages, last Sunday (December 4) evening. False reports claimed that the 43-year-old actress has allegedly attempted suicide by taking an overdose of tranquillisers after facing constant arguments with her family members over her much-talked about hot photoshoot with her ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ co-star Ranbir Kapoor. The reports also added that on learning about her suicide attempt, the Bachchan’s immediately called the doctors to treat her at their residence and didn’t take her to the hospital to avoid unnecessary attention of the media. However, all these reports are nothing but a complete hoax and Bollywood’s timeless beauty is doing absolutely fine. Last night, Aishwarya, with her husband Abhishek Bachchan, was seen partying hard at a bash thrown by the ace designer Manish Malhotra to celebrate his 50th birthday.
