Sonakshi Sinha’s brother Luv refuses to divulge why he was absent from her wedding to Zaheer Iqbal

Sonakshi Sinha and her fiancé Zaheer Iqbal got married on Sunday. Despite widespread rumors about a disagreement between Sonakshi and her family regarding her choice of partner, her parents, actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha and his wife Poonam Sinha, were present at the wedding. However, Sonakshi’s brothers, Luv and Kush Sinha, were noticeably absent from both the ceremony and the celebrations.

Lovebirds Sonakshi Sinha and her fiancé Zaheer Iqbal tied the knot on Sunday. While there were several rumours of a rift between Sonakshi and her family over the choice of her partner, her parents – actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha & his wife Poonam Sinha attended the wedding and took part in the celebrations enthusiastically, thereby putting those rumours to rest. Sinha Sr even gave his blessings to the new couple.

However, Sonakshi’s brothers Luv and Kush Sinha were conspicuously absent – both at the weddings and at the festivities. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Luv evaded the question and gave a cryptic answer.

A source close to the family told HT, that the brothers were nowhere to be seen at the wedding. “Sonakshi’s parents attended the wedding, and were naturally elated about the day. However, her brothers didn’t come to the wedding as well as the reception. The photographers didn’t spot the two entering the venue, till the very end. And everyone found it to be really weird, ” they told the news portal.
When Luv was contacted by HT, he didn’t deny the rumours, but refused to give a straightforward reply. He requested the publication to get back to him later. “Please give it a day or two. I’ll respond to your question then if I feel I can. Thank you for asking,” he said.

Earlier, ETimes got in touch with Luv when rumours of the Heeramandi star’s marriage began doing the rounds. Then too, Luv refused to give a concrete answer. r. “I’m out of Mumbai at the moment, and if it’s regarding the news published, I have no comment or involvement in the matter,” he told ETimes.
In the absence of Luv, Sonakshi’s close friend Saqib Saleem took over his duties. A touching video captures Sonakshi walking under a traditional ‘phoolon ka chaddar‘—a floral canopy carried by her friends, with Saqib holding one end.

Saqib is the brother of Huma Qureshi, who co-starred with Sonakshi in the 2022 film ‘Double XL’. Iqbal featured in the film as well. Both the Qureshi siblings are close to Sonakshi.

New Delhi: Sonakshi Sinha’s twin brothers Luv Sinha and Kussh Sinha were reportedly absent at her wedding. A day after Luv Sinha addressed his absence, Kussh confirmed that he was present at the wedding in an interview with News 18. Refuting the rumours of a family discord, Kussh Sinha told News 18, ‘I have already seen people publishing inaccurate information. It started with an article in a leading portal that had a quote by an unnamed source. I am not sure who’s doing all this right now and where it’s coming from. But a few houses have my images [from the night].’ He also added, ‘This is a sensitive time for the family.’

Kussh Sinha shared that he was not widely covered by the paparazzi like the other guests as he prefers to maintain a safe distance from the limelight. He told News 18, ‘It’s just that I am a private individual and I am not seen that much but that doesn’t mean that I wasn’t there.’ Wishing the newlyweds, Kussh Sinha said, ‘I was present and I have only good wishes for my sister and will always wish her well.’

When asked about his absence from sister’s wedding, Luv Sinha told Hindustan Times, ‘Please give it a day or two. I’ll respond to your question then if I feel I can. Meanwhile, a video from their registry ceremony is already viral. Priyaank Sharma, who was present at the wedding, shared a video on his Instagram stories. In the video, Sonakshi can be seen walking down the aisle while her close friend Saqib Saleem holds the phoolon ki chhadar. For the registry ceremony, Sonakshi wore her mother’s vintage saree and jewellery. Sharing the video, Priyaank Sharma dropped a series of heart emojis.
