Amitabh Bachchan is currently winning hearts with his unmissable personality and presence as a host of Kaun Banega Crorepati 15. The actor, who has been a part of the show for countless seasons now, is known for his fun banter with the contestants, as well as his occasional personal life revelations that he makes on the hot seat. Something similar happened yet again as Big B spoke something wittily about his wife, Jaya Bachchan.
Amitabh Bachchan takes a dig at wifey, Jaya Bachchan’s argument skills
In the recent episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 15, Amitabh Bachchan could be seen having a fun interaction with a contestant named, Alolika, who is a Bengali. Well, the latter, after reaching a certain point in the game, expressed her wish to withdraw. Intrigued by her desire, Amitabh Bachchan expressed amusement since no one else has ever wanted to step down after succeeding so much in the game. To this, Alolika gave a smart response to it and said:
‘I feel all the contestants who get to sit here in front of you are crorepatis. You are one in crores so all of them are crorepatis.’
However, this reply simply stunned Big B, who could not stop himself from praising the contestant. Big B mentioned that with his personal life experiences, he has learnt that one should never argue with a Bengali. Taking a dig at his own wife, Jaya Bachchan, Amitabh went on to reveal how he is never able to win any argument against Jaya, since she always has a different way of answering. In his words:
‘I would like to tell you something from my personal experience. Bangaliyon ke saath kabhi behes nahi karna chahiye. Humare ghar ki avastha humko maalum hai, aise hi hai bilkul. Unse kuch lad nahi sakte, unke paas fat se kuch na kuch uttar hota hai, ulta aapke upar chipka denge kuch.’
When Amitabh revealed why he refused to wear topor at his Bengali wedding with Jaya
In one of the previous episodes of the show, Amitabh Bachchan had recalled his traditional Bengali wedding. Big B mentioned that during the wedding rituals, he refused to wear the traditional headgear, topor as he found it funny and disliked wearing it. Moreover, he mentioned how he ended up apologising to everyone in Jaya’s family for the same.
When Amitabh Bachchan hilariously called his family an epitome of ‘mini India’
In yet another episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 15, Amitabh Bachchan took a slight dig at the cultural diversity in his family. He mentioned while his son is married to someone from down south, his daughter is married to a north-Indian guy. Calling his family an epitome of mini-India, Big B said:
‘I can completely understand, even I become a sandwich at home with everyone. However, what I like the most is the fact that my family is so diverse. My daughter married someone in Punjab and my son in the south. We have people from all across the country, it’s like a mini-India and we love it.’
