Amitabh and Jaya resumed filming the climax scene of Abhimaan just a day after their honeymoon
Apart from being solid life partners to each other, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan also happen to be exceptional actors, who value their craft more than anything else. Proof of the same was found when the duo had valued their commitment to work so much that they had resumed shooting right a day after returning from their honeymoon in London. Spilling beans on the same, Amitabh, in one of his previous tweets had revealed that the climax scene of the film, Abhimaan was shot right the next day after their return from honeymoon. In his words:
“The last shot of the film of Jaya and me coming out of the theatre after singing the climax song, and the crowds mobbing and applauding us, was done the day after we returned from our honeymoon in London.”
When Jaya Bachchan agreed to share the screen with Rekha in Silsila
The picture-perfect love story of Jaya Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan got a little distorted when Rekha entered into the picture and made a love triangle out of it. Since Amitabh was a married man, his relationship with Rekha was nearly a hushed affair. However, through many gossip-mongers, this news had made its way to Jaya’s ears. However, rather than leaving her husband, she managed to stay grounded.
But, there was once a time when she was absolutely against working with Rekha in Yash Chopra’s film, Silsila. Ironically, the film, too was an apt representation of the real-life love triangle situation between Amitabh, Jaya and Rekha. Interestingly, it was a difficult task for the filmmaker, Yash Chopra to get on board Jaya. While at first, Jaya simply refused to hear anything about the film, it was finally the end scene of the film that made her change the mind, which showcased the union of the married man and woman, leaving the other woman behind.
When Jaya revealed how Amitabh dislikes when her friends visit her place
During her stint in her granddaughter, Navya Naveli Nanda’s podcast show, What The Hell Navya, Jaya Bachchan once recalled a rather unknown anecdote about her husband, Amitabh Bachchan. She called him grumpy and revealed that he acts most weirdly whenever her best friends come and pay a visit. In her words:
“Your nana is like, he is the grumpiest. He will say ‘I have to go up, excuse me ladies. If you don’t mind’ and something something. Actually they are quite happy that he is not there.’
